The LLB (Hons) Law is a rigorous, future-focused degree designed for aspiring legal professionals seeking global recognition and strong career readiness. Awarded by London South Bank University (LSBU), UK and delivered at BCAS Campus, Sri Lanka, the programme provides a solid foundation in the core areas of English law while embedding practical skills such as legal research, advocacy, mooting, and policy analysis from the first year.

With an emphasis on applied learning, critical thinking, and professional pathways, graduates are well prepared for progression to the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE), Bar Training, the Attorney-at-Law route in Sri Lanka, or advanced postgraduate study worldwide (subject to the requirements of the relevant professional and regulatory bodies).

Interim exit awards available: CertHE Legal Studies (on completion of Level 4, 120 credits); DipHE Legal Studies (on completion of Levels 4 and 5, 240 credits); BA Legal Studies (on completion of 300 credits across Levels 4 and 5 and a minimum of 60 credits at Level 6, where the full honours requirements have not been completed); LLB (Hons) Law (on completion of all three levels, 360 credits, including the Independent Research Project).

Entry Requirements

Academic prerequisites and admission criteria

  1. A minimum of 3 passes at GCE Advanced Level (or equivalent international qualifications), along with at least a Grade C in GCE Ordinary Level English, or an IELTS 6.0 overall (with no component below 5.5)

  2. A recognised UK Level 3 or equivalent Foundation qualification
