Comprehensive introduction to the programme
BCAS Hotel School is one of the leading ones in Sri Lanka for high quality education in Hotel and Tourism Management courses. It also offers special hospitality / catering-related certificate level courses. The TVEC & Pearson approved Diploma in Hospitality Management and the other approved certificate courses are well-recognised in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Our main focus is on crafting hospitality management with the correct professional and business skills for the global hospitality industry. Plus, we inspire in the students both service excellence and entrepreneurial mindset. Having established the school in 2018, we have so far trained and produced more than 100 students who are equipped to be employed in the industry.
Course structure: 18 months in total — 12 months academic and 06 months industrial training.

Academic prerequisites and admission criteria
Six passes in G.C.E. O/L including a simple pass in English
All passes in the G.C.E. (O/L) examination or all passes in the G.C.E. (A/L) examination
Any other qualification approved by the Senate

Academic pathways and career progression
Progression: Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Hospitality and Tourism Management, leading to BSc (Hons) in Hotel & Tourism Management.
Employment areas: Kitchen – Helper / Steward / Commi 3; Food and Beverage – Restaurant Waiter / Steward; Housekeeping – Housekeeping Assistant; Front Office – Front Office Assistant.
