Comprehensive introduction to the programme

The MBA Top-up programme is designed for learners who already hold a recognised Level 7 postgraduate diploma or equivalent qualification. It allows students to complete the remaining academic requirements to achieve the full MBA award from London South Bank University, with emphasis on strategic specialisation and applied research.

Students complete one core module (Research Methodology, 20 credits), one specialist module (20 credits) aligned to their chosen MBA pathway, and a 60-credit dissertation.

Entry Requirements

Academic prerequisites and admission criteria

  1. A minimum of 120 credits at Level 7 (e.g., Pearson BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership), with evidence of strategic leadership competencies

  2. Professional experience: a minimum of two years in a managerial or strategic role is compulsory

  3. Special cases, such as candidates from different fields of undergraduate qualification, will be evaluated for suitability

  4. Any other qualification approved by the Senate

Applicants must have completed their Level 6 qualification in English medium.
